Q: We have searched for the Documentation, but found nothing. Where can I find the Documentation?
A: Currently we are working on the Documentation, however, a Part is already online at the URL http://support.wingroupware.com/help/. The shown Screenshots may be outdated, since the GUI has received a heavy Upgrade in the Design. If you can read German, we also have a Blog running which is holding Informations about the Development Process, the WinGroupware Development Blog. Please contact our Support if you are in Trouble, look for a certain Feature or have any further Questions. Thank you.
Q: On which Operating System can WinGroupware run on top?
A: WinGroupware Home Edition does only work on a Windows Home Server, while the other Editions will work on all Windows-Editions which have installed the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.
Q: Where do i find the Out-of-Office Plugin for Outlook?
A: Currently the Out-of-Office Plugin is only available for Outlook up to 2007. The Version for Outlook 2010 will be available soon. Please note that the Plugin cannot work with the Home-Edition of WinGroupware. In the Standard-Edition the Plugin can be licenced seperatly.
Q: I cannot create IMAP Public Folders? Whats up with WebMail?
A: In the first Release of WinGroupware we have to remove some Features due some rewritten Code, however, we promise that later this Year, with another Update the missing Features will be available for free.
Q: Why is a Internet-Connection necessary?
A: Our Productactivation requires an Internetconnection to verify the Licence and to monitor the Evaluation Period online. If you like to use WinGroupware as Intranet Mail Server without an Internet Connection, we can offer you a Hardware-Dongle after your Purchase which works without any Internet Connection.
Q: I miss the Feature xyz, where is it?
A: If you miss some Functionality, please LET US KNOW. Usually we implement your needs within the Period to the next Update.
Q: Why is there an Upgrade Protection available, how does it work?
A: The Upgrade Protection Plan helps you to ensure that your Mail Server is always up-to-date, regardless of the Version which is beeing released. Usually Major-Upgrades are not free, Minor-Upgrades are. If you obtain an Upgrade Protection, you do not need to care - all available Upgrades are free included while the Protection is running.
Q: I have Questions regarding the Installation or Problems while setting up the Mail Server. What can I do?
A: Just contact our Support, we are happy to assist you. Please dont forget to describe your Problem as close as possible, maybe a Screenshot says more then 1000 Words...
Q: We like to install WinGroupware distributed on more then one System. How does this work?
A: Ok, WinGroupware is ready to work as distributed Mail Server System, however, this Configuration Type requires some Planning upfront. Therefore we recommend to contact our Support Staff or get a Partner Contact which helps you.
Q: Does the Mail Server run inside a VMWare?
A: Sure! But keep in mind that a virtual Machine is (regarding the Database Access Times) slower as a usual, dedicated System. If you like to run the Mail Server for more then 100 Users, we always recommend dedicated Systems.
